Acer Iconia Tab A100Powerful, compact, easy to carry and even easier to use, the new Acer Iconia Tab A100 is perfect whether you need to work on documents after office hours or simply chill out with your favorite movie or eBook. With a 7” display and a weight of only 0.92 lbs., the Iconia Tab A100 is particularly comfortable to hold with just one hand, and as it’s so compact, it easily slips into your pocket or bag.

And the Iconia Tab A100 doesn't sacrifice size for performance. It has a fast Nvidia Tegra dual-core processor and is the first 7" tablet to use the latest Android Honeycomb 3.2 operating system. Plus, the 5MP rear and 2MP front cameras are just what you need for shooting photos, recording HD videos or video chatting with family from out of town.

With the Iconia Tab A100, you get all this at a very reasonably priced $329.99 for the 8GB version and $349.99 for 16GB. Or...how about winning one from Techlicious?

From Bonni on October 14, 2011 :: 1:28 pm

I have been tied to my desktop computer for years. I did get a “hand me up” laptop that’s a few years old and it’s way too heavy and bulky to take anywhere.  I would absolutely love to have a tablet!

Work and Play

From Laurie Bokuniewicz on October 14, 2011 :: 1:47 pm

I would use my new Acer Iconia Tab A100 for both work and play!

I’d download some great apps that don’t work too well on my phone & use it to read the monthly books my FB Bookclub selects.

I would take my tablet when I travel for work instead of my laptop if it’s a short trip.

GREAT Newsletter BTW! I’ve already forwarded & posted 3-4 stories, and I just joined a couple of weeks ago! I passed on today’s about Verizon sharing information

After I caught my breath from winning….I would quickly download my calendar….maybe a few pictures….then definately my knitting patterns.  See, I knit for charities and having the power to carry my patterns along with me would make life so much easier.  Of course this Great-GramMa would have to learn how to use it but with all the ‘youngsters’ in the family… I am sure someone would volunteer!  ;-}

Being constantly on the go and having a fledgling internet space, I don’t know how I’ve gone this far without a portable device that can help me keep in touch real-time.  So far I’ve really enjoyed the Techlicious articles and would love applying some of the features mentioned to an Acer tablet to grow with.  keep up the great work and thanks!

From Dane on October 14, 2011 :: 3:03 pm

if I won the tablet i’d give it to my mother who is a retired 3rd grade teacher.  She’s a sweet old woman who is technologically “slow”.  One of her few joys in life has been playing online poker for real money.  Blahblah, it’s illegal and gone now or whatever. Anyhow, I’ve got her addicted to Angry Birds.  she LOVESSSS it!!!!  and I’d love to be give her a nice device to let her play on instead of always stealing my ipod. smile

This could take the place of my Acer laptop, because it is so much more portable.

I would use it to email, play games, read books, surf the web, and keep myself organized.

I would love watching movies and videos on this, because the screen is bigger than my smartphone.

With all the apps out there for android there are so many things I could do. Just waiting for the chance to do them. =)

I’d use it to check prices on things in the store before buying them. Ex., Check brands I find at Salvation Army to see if they are actually selling on eBay.  My acer aspire one mini laptop is a bit too big for this task. I’m afraid I’d drop it and break it and then .... what would I do? Only an hr at library a day, is a scary thought!  And my cell is not smart phone and the internet connection isn’t as easy to use…. This would help me to make extra money cos I need to sell on eBay due to the very low amt I get on Social Security Disability.  ... I simply can’t afford to buy one… Plus I’d use it to check emails, and keep in closer contact w/ my Mom who now has COPD and isn’t doing so well…  Anyhow thanks…

From Kim Sutherland on October 14, 2011 :: 8:02 pm

Why I’d be the coolest teacher around - popping apps up to help with math concepts and science experiments…checking my calendar for the next faculty meeting…engaging in some high-tech silent reading…and maybe destroying some obnoxious, green egg-stealing piggies at the end of the day while waiting for my son at the bus stop!
