Lenovo Ultrabook Giveaway from Intel!
Think you have to pay a hefty premium to get a thin and powerful laptop with good battery life? Not if you’re getting an Ultrabook™.
Ultrabooks are a new class of ultraportable laptops that measure less than 21mm thick, get five or more hours of battery life, use a powerful Intel® Core i3™, i5 or i7 processor and wake almost instantly from a sleep state. All for around $1,000.
Ultrabooks are the perfect laptop for people on the go, easily slipping into a bag or briefcase and barely noticeable from a weight perspective - you’ll find yourself bringing your laptop more places than ever before. With their ultra-slim profile, they’re also a dramatic style statement.
The 13" Lenovo® IdeaPad® U300s is a perfect example of everything an Ultrabook has to offer:
- 1.6GHz Intel Core i5 processor
- 128 GB solid state drive (much faster than a hard drive)
- Just 0.59" thick and 2.91 pounds
- 8 hours of battery life.
We're giving away a Lenovo U300s ($1049 MSRP) to one lucky Techlicious subscriber, courtesy of Intel! Enter through February 24th, 2012 for a chance to win.

Aspiring Web Designer/Programmer
My Dell Inspiron is about 6 years old now, runs extremely slow, and is very ill-equipped for web design work. Currently working full time as a computer programmer outside of the house and doing web design work on the side - trying to save up to get out of the crummy, old trailer my daughter and I are living in at the moment.
Special Granddaughter
My oldest granddaughter is extremely intelligent and does a lot of work on the computer. There are four other people in their house so she can’t use the computer as often as she needs to. This would really be wonderful for her.
Needed For my son
My son Jason needs a computer, and this laptop would be perfect for him. Being disabled, I cannot afford to buy him one.
I hope I am the winner so I can surprise him!

For my wife, the school teacher
My wife has an older laptop, which she uses a lot for her school work. She’s a teacher, and she devotes a lot of her extra time to coming up with lesson plans and unique ideas to help her students connect with the material and make learning fun and effective.
If I were able to provide her with this new laptop, she would be able to get much more done in less time and without the frustrations that she currently deals with while working on her old laptop. Thanks (*keeping fingers crossed*)!
I NEED and Ultrabook!!
Whoa - my laptop in YEARS old and is a heavy dinosaur! What it lacks in beauty is only eclipsed by what it lacks in speed and power. Do I dare wish for a new computer?
A new Lenovo? Yes, please

As a working mother I rely on my laptop to order diapers and wipes, pay bills and keep in touch with family. My HP laptop is slooooooow and takes too long to do anything. A new laptop would help me to get things done more efficiently - and spend more time actually playing with my daughter.

My laptop only boots up successfully 50% of the time (literally). The other 50% it presents me with a fatal error and will not boot. The laptop gets extremely hot - I have to cool it with ice packs - no joke!
