I can do with a Linksys wireless home media bundle, just now. 4 of us roommates have been sharing a linksys wireless router for a year now, but we’ve decided to move into two separate 2 room units, which means, two of us would get the wireless router and the other two would need to get a new linksys unit.

Multi-stream capabilities are very cool, but 500GB seems on the low-end for media NAS devices these days. Is the device capable of accepting add-on storage (a 2nd HD or an HD upgrade to 1TB or 2TB)? And does it have efficient cooling? My one experience with a NAS device (albeit NetReady, not Linksys/Cisco and for vanilla storage, not media streaming) wasn’t great. The 80mm case fan died within months of purchase, and I had to swap it out. I would expect better from Cisco and have always liked Linksys (pre-Cisco), so hopefully cooling isn’t a problem on this unit. Great giveaway bundle, regardless!

Cisco / Linksys rocks, and even as a fairly *ahem* experienced networker, I prefer the ease of use and consistent interface that Cisco / Linksys offers.
I do caution everyone to change their interface password upon first use (and not to ‘admin’!)

Although we have multiple computers in the house, someone is always wanting to borrow my PC to view a file or to borrow my portable harddrive to transfer a movie. This setup would allow my husband and daughter to use their OWN computer to watch a movie or move music to their Mp3. Niiiiice!

I have kids that take advanced honors class’s at school they also take online advanced class’s.
My son went from 7th grade to 9th grade this year so we need good equipment to provide them the ability to learn and proceed in their learning. I have seen this bundle before online and have dreamed of owning it,if you ever had your child tell you they just lost out on a grade because the internet is acting up or somehow their total assignment was lost somehow and deleted then you know why my goal is to someday have the bundle for them. Being a stay at home parent means doing without but winning this means rewarding my children.
