Has anyone gotten a new Blackberry Tour?
I am curious if the new model is working well.
There are a couple of reviews out there from Laptop Magazine and engadget which are very positive.
If you’re staying with Verizon, this is probably the smartphone - and certainly the Blackberry - to get. In addition to its worldphone capabilities, it has a 3.2 megapixel camera, 256mb of built-in RAM (vs 128mb on the Storm and 96mb on the Curve), and GPS. Early reviews from users have been very positive.
On the flip side, it doesn’t have WiFi (a continuing issue for Verizon phones) and will run $150 more than the Curve. The web browser is typical Blackberry mediocre.
If you’re on Sprint, you should take a look at the Palm Pre, as well. It has a better browser than the Blackberry and it looks sexy, but you should try it out and see how you like it for typing - some have found that the Pre doesn’t fit in your hand as well as the Blackberry and the keys are cramped.
