Topping Wishlists: Sony PlayStation 4
According to the Consumer Technology Association, video game consoles are in the top 5 of the most wished for tech items this holiday season.
Sony is offering a new model of its PlayStation 4 from Black Friday through Cyber Monday at a new low price of just $249 (that’s $50 off the usual price). The new model is slimmer, lighter and more energy efficient than earlier models. And, it’s compatible with PlayStation VR ($399.99), an immersive, 360-degree gaming experience. PlayStation VR, which launched this fall, has a lineup of 30 games, including Rez Infinite, Batman: Arkham VR, DRIVECLUB VR and RIGS Mechanized Combat League. In total, PS VR will have a library of approximately 50 games by the end of the year.
The new PS4 will be bundled with Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, the latest installment in the award-winning Uncharted series. Sony is promising new gameplay mechanics, larger, more open environments and enhanced graphics and animations for a more cinematic experience.
And, like with all PS4 models, you’ll be able to do a lot more than play games. You can listen to music streaming service, like Spotify, and watch streaming TV services, including Netflix, PlayStation Vue, NFL Sunday Ticket and NBA Game Time, among others.
