Acer Iconia Tab A100Powerful, compact, easy to carry and even easier to use, the new Acer Iconia Tab A100 is perfect whether you need to work on documents after office hours or simply chill out with your favorite movie or eBook. With a 7” display and a weight of only 0.92 lbs., the Iconia Tab A100 is particularly comfortable to hold with just one hand, and as it’s so compact, it easily slips into your pocket or bag.

Plus, the 5MP rear and 2MP front cameras are just what you need for shooting photos, recording HD videos or video chatting with family from out of town.

With the Iconia Tab A100, you get all this at a very reasonably priced $329.99 for the 8GB version and $349.99 for 16GB. Or...how about winning one from Techlicious?

Super portable

From shel on September 16, 2011 :: 12:44 pm

I love how compact the Acer Iconia is; it will easily slide into my handbag and I love that the portability doesn’t cut down on its features.  I’d be able to video chat with my son who lives in New Orleans as well as have my library of books on the go. I have a lot of down-time at work and an open wireless network; it would be great to have the ability to check email, tweet and Facebook while I’m there since I’ve yet to join the smartphone market.

Acer Iconia Tablet

From Frieda on September 16, 2011 :: 3:39 pm

The Acer Iconia tablet seems small enough to carry from class to class, without a hassle. It would also come in handy, since we only have one lap top to share between six people. The lap top is used during the week for college classes, so everyone fights for the lap top on the weekends. grin

From Debye Thorne on September 16, 2011 :: 4:50 pm

My home pc is down and my phone is crazy to check emails and FB. I like to go sit out back in the mornings when I let the dogs out and read, so I’d use that time to catch up!

From Elizabeth Ray on September 16, 2011 :: 5:04 pm

This would be very useful in my work, as I actually “need” to write reports while in the field, but do not have a laptop, etc.
Right now, I write notes on paper, and write report on my PC when I get home.

Acer Icona Tab A100

From Vince Aiello on September 16, 2011 :: 8:26 pm

This tablet would be a lot easier to read than the tiny screen on my Blackberry. And this would be a great replacement to my netbook that was stolen back in June. Plus I’ve owned Acer products in the past and have been very pleased with them.

Sharing with the world

From Marianne Anthe on September 16, 2011 :: 9:48 pm

I am a travel writer who goes to challenging places - Antarctica,  Patagonia, African bush country, for example. My next challenge this winter will be volunteering in poverty areas of Central America.

It’s not easy or useful to carry full laptops or even netbooks into these areas. A tablet would be ideally small and lightweight to carry so I can use it to write in unusual environments to chronicle my experiences and share them with online readers.

Thanks.

Marianne

How I would use a new tablet

From Amy Brewer on September 16, 2011 :: 10:41 pm

I would use this for reading on the go. My teenage daughter would also put it to good use. She, like me, loves to read. I would also check emails and take pics and send them as soon as they are done. No more waiting cause I don’t have a smartphone. This would be so much better than a smartphone anyway. With it’s size I could stick it in my purse and take it with me anywhere.
