What a great way to check email, read a book, look at photos and enjoy my commute to work. This would replace my bulky old laptop that keeps breaking down on me..

From Louisa on September 27, 2011 :: 6:22 pm

I would use the tablet as a very helpful study tool. I could have the resources I need (dictionaries, flash cards, some books, etc.) on an easy to carry device, instead of a trying to lug around a large laptop or thick paper copies. =)

Super Stressed Mom

From Connie L. on September 27, 2011 :: 9:47 pm

For 18 years I have been a single Mom and I just sent my daughter 1500 miles away to college…we have never been apart and this would be so much easier for us to keep in touch since I have 1 fulltime job and 2 part-time jobs and can hardly ever be at home where my 6 year old desktop is and she texts me several times a day to find out if I am at home to skype with her….she gets quite bummed out that it is sometimes 3 - 4 days at a time that we are not able to skype or Fbook chat…..this would be so awesome and make it easier for us to communicate!!!

perfect for the kids

From steven on September 28, 2011 :: 10:27 am

I have been watching 7-inch tablets since 2010, looking for prices to come down and features to improve.  As a divorced dad I would use an Acer Iconia Tab A100 to amuse my four kids when they stay with me.  As a businessman, I would use it as a mobile extension of my office computer.  As a motivated tech novice, I would use it on my own to play, surf, e-mail, video chat and watch movies.

How I would use Acer Iconia

From Me on September 28, 2011 :: 1:11 pm

I have a very heavy Mac Powerbook and sometimes I’d rather not take all that weight on the road. I don’t have a smartphone so this would be very helpful to me so I don’t have to mark payments and meetings down on paper (which sometimes gets lost).

I would use an Acer Iconia Tab to run my business better

From Adrienne on September 28, 2011 :: 1:14 pm

I’m on the go a lot, but I still need to stay in touch with customers, process orders, and write blog posts.  An Acer Iconia Tab would help me do this without missing a beat.

Fingers crossed that I’m a winner…

From Lisa on September 28, 2011 :: 1:18 pm

so this would be my first! I am an author and columnist so it would definitely help out with documents and articles. I would also use it to video talk with my family, update social media accounts and read, read, read. It would be so nice to be able to watch a movie or show while waiting at all my doctor appointments. I look forward to reading your news letters.

Ah, freedom...

From Angela Mattson on September 28, 2011 :: 1:24 pm

Sometimes lugging the laptop around is a drag (no pun intended). I’d use the darn thing for taking notes in meeting, showing clients cool stuff I create for them, for reading ebooks on the train (I can download to it like a Kindle, right?), and of course, I’d use it to watch some guilty-pleasure TV on Hulu.com. Sweet!

Marketing and Techlicious

From Karen on September 28, 2011 :: 1:28 pm

I’d like to be able to start working on a tablet because that’s the way of the future. I’ve been told by IT professionals that laptops are out, and tablets are the way to go. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no experience working on a tablet and need to start learning how to use them. It would be nice to finally have a home-computer, so to speak, as well! On a side note, I think the advice offered in these daily emails will be greatly beneficial to me. Thanks!

Blogging and General Surfing

From Michael on September 28, 2011 :: 1:47 pm

As a blogger the tablet would allow me more flexibility in getting that job done from locations other than my home!

I’d also use it to surf the web from other locations in my house.  It’d be easier to use than most laptops, and netbooks, with their odd screen to resolution ratios.

I would LOVE to use it to educate patients - I am a dental health professional and they have an app that I can use to show patients (adults AND children) about oral health, dental procedures, everything! It would be a WONDERFUL resource to use for this!
Also I could use it for research, and articles, and reading! Everything!
I guess, what would I not do with it??? smile

The Replacement (2011)

From Julia on September 28, 2011 :: 4:25 pm

The Acer Iconia would replace the stack of books beside my bed, the magazines in the bathroom, the cookbooks in the kitchen, the remote for my TV,  the newspaper on my metro commute, the gps mounted to my windsheild, the stereo at my party, the gaming console in my man’s hands, the tour guide on my next trip, and the empty slot in my purse reserved for the tablet I never thought I’d have!

Taking it to the next level

From Robyn on September 28, 2011 :: 4:44 pm

With a Acer Iconia Tablet I would be able to take my business to the next level. As a young entrepreneur whose business laptop died and one of the few in the world without a smartphone I would be able to complete projects faster, stay up-to-date with my clients, create amazing media campaigns and move my company into the 21st century.

To Help With Children With Special Needs

From Hope Wilkinson on September 28, 2011 :: 11:41 pm

As a volunteer for children with special needs, 21st century technology is always an amazing learning/interaction tool. A tablet that I could take home and personalize would allow me to better design a way to connect with these children. Additionally, I tutor in American Sign Language, but most of my tutoring takes place at deaf events so that the people can see the language in action. This small, portable tablet would allow me to pull up coursework, video examples, and other tools to better instruct such people.

From Amy Piechoski Camorote on September 29, 2011 :: 12:57 am

Would be nice to have as my husband has a laptop for work and my son has one for school, which means I usually don’t see a computer until late at night.  I would be nice to have one of my own to be able to check email and keep in touch with my family.

I would use the new Acer-Iconia tablet to be an even better charity and community event volunteer - nothing like a handy tablet to keep all the events and dates organized so I can be on time at the right location and have information at my fingertips to help anyone at the event.

I would enjoy this with my grandchildren

From Joan on September 29, 2011 :: 2:32 am

I would love to spend time using this with my grandchildren.  We could sit on the sofa and play “Head Shoulder Knees & Toes” which is currently Zackary’s favorite.  It’s the first thing he says to me when I go over to visit -“Head Shoulder Knees & Toes” grandma?
I am sure there would be more practical use as well, but “Head Shoulder Knees & Toes” is the first thing that came to mind.
