Acer Iconia Tab A100Powerful, compact, easy to carry and even easier to use, the new Acer Iconia Tab A100 is perfect whether you need to work on documents after office hours or simply chill out with your favorite movie or eBook. With a 7” display and a weight of only 0.92 lbs., the Iconia Tab A100 is particularly comfortable to hold with just one hand, and as it’s so compact, it easily slips into your pocket or bag.

And the Iconia Tab A100 doesn't sacrifice size for performance. It has a fast Nvidia Tegra dual-core processor and is the first 7" tablet to use the latest Android Honeycomb 3.2 operating system. Plus, the 5MP rear and 2MP front cameras are just what you need for shooting photos, recording HD videos or video chatting with family from out of town.

With the Iconia Tab A100, you get all this at a very reasonably priced $329.99 for the 8GB version and $349.99 for 16GB. Or...how about winning one from Techlicious?

What more can I say

From Pat Tish Crawford on September 15, 2011 :: 9:21 am

You said it all in your description:  powerful, compact, easy to carry and even easier to use.
I could work on documents or read an eBook (since I don’t have a Kindle yet). The 7” display and lite weight make it practical to carry and use. And that’s just what I need - something else to put in my tote bag!

I don’t know a lot about tablets, but this one sounds almost perfect for me.

Thank you for the opportunity to win one!

right size and weight

From sharon on September 15, 2011 :: 9:22 am

I want something to use midway in size and weight between my smartphone (screen is too small! no fun to browse web on) and my laptop (way too heavy to want to carry around everyday in my purse). I think a tablet like the Acer would be just right.

I travel a lot and the acer would be a lot more convenient to take along than my laptop. It would make taking notes about experiences and sharing photos a lot easier.

If I won I would use my tablet to start my own day care so I can educate the kids of our future and I would use it to take my classes online instead of waiting 2 hours at the library for a computer.

From Margay on September 15, 2011 :: 9:23 am

I have Multiple Sclerosis, so sometimes, my body just gets tired and I need to lie down. I’d use the tablet to access the internet and do my social media thing with the tablet when I’m too tired to sit at the computer.

Race(r) for the Acer

From Stephanie on September 15, 2011 :: 9:24 am

Hands down, books. I make every excuse in the world to justify the fact I haven’t read a book in ages.  With the Acer Tab, NO EXCUSES. Portable, bigger than my smartphone, and relatively inexpensive to get digital books.  Oh, and of course, Facebook to death.

Fun and practical

From Sue on September 15, 2011 :: 9:24 am

This would be just the tablet that would fit the bill. It would open up a better communication with my kids and grandkids - being able to see instead of just read makes a better impression.  It would give me the chance of letting them teach Gram some new activities also.

From kady on September 15, 2011 :: 9:27 am

I totally need one for following recipes while cooking.  I usually bring my laptop into the kitchen, which is risky, and my hubs is always navigating away from my recipe page—aack!  It would also be great for traveling, when I hate to take my laptop.

Now, as for why I don’t want one—can’t stand the idea of my kids fighting over it.  I’ll have to hide it from them!

I do the idea to have such a small gadget. There may be so many uses of it: checking e-mails, news, etc. It can be a great toy for kids too. Plus, it is compact, which means it is a great portable device. Really want it!

I’ve just taken on a new (second) job, and am in need of nearly constant e-mail access.  This would be exactly like carrying a computer in my purse at all times.  I would be accessible everywhere I go.

Wait a minute, do I really want that?

Yeah, I guess I do.  Being able to play angry birds whenever I want would be nice too. smile

It can be very helpful at a doctors visit with my twins. Especially when they are getting shots =]
