From Rachel Williams on December 18, 2010 :: 10:58 pm

As a college student, I already have a laptop, but I would use this netbook for vacations and trips, as I am very protective of my laptop, but I like to stay connected when out of town. As a future business owner (I hope), I could really use a backup laptop/netbook just in case.

Thank you!

I am a stay at home mom of 2 boys 2 1/2 and 8 mo.  My 8 mo. old has a heart condition and I don’t feel comfortable leaving him with anybody.  I am going back to school to become a lactation consultant and I will be taking a lot of my classes on line.  We only have one computer and my hubby uses it mostly.  It would save our marriage if I won the lap top because I wouldn’t have to kick my hubby off of the computer all the time to study and do homework.  Also it will allow me to stay at home with my lil’ miracle baby.

I would use it to stay connected on the run. Both of my girls have gymnastics on the same day. As such, I am at the gym for 3 hours with very little to do unless I bring it with me. How great would it be to get some actual work done while I am there (or even some fun non-work at times)? So much better than a bag of puzzle books, and much lighter, too!

“What will you do with the Dell netbook if you win?”
Good question! Well, being a college student it is very important to have a computer around for writing papers and doing research. Being that I do not own a laptop/netbook this would be a great so I could actually do work on campus instead of waiting to get home and doing it then! This would be great if I did win! Thanks!

As a college student, I already have a laptop, which I am very protective of, so I would use this Dell netbook for vacations and various trips. I like to stay connected when out of town, but am worried something will happen to my laptop, which I have only had for six months.
As a future business owner (I hope), I will need a backup laptop/netbook just in case something happens to my current laptop.

Thank you and Happy Holidays!

I would give this netbook to my husband, who is deploying in a few weeks.  The small size would be perfect for him to take anywhere.  And when he has internet access, we would be able to share pictures with each other.

From Alison on December 18, 2010 :: 11:10 pm

Earlier this year I lost my teaching job when a local elementary closed.  The district will continue to shrink, making it less likely that I’ll be able to get back in.  I am currently on unemployment, and am looking for work.  Places do not want to hire someone with a Masters in Education, outside of education. :..(  What would I do with the netbook?  I would give it to my 2nd grade son for him to use on his study desk at home.  He has been wanting a computer for quite some time, and our finances right now can not provide for this.

Since I am pregnant it is getting harder and harder to sit for very long in a desk chair so it would be wonderful to be able to sit on the sofa and do what I need to do.  Plus I have 2 boys who are homeschooled so I have to share the computer with them.  It would definately be put to good use!

I subscribe to your e-newsletter! What would I do with the netbook? Well I would use it in a couple of ways - I am starting college soon, so it would be very helpful with my school work. Another would be, I am helping my autistic brother to learn computers and it would be great to let him learn on a netbook! He would just be so happy to get to play on it, it would make his day every day!
