Lenovo U300s UltrabookThink you have to pay a hefty premium to get a thin and powerful laptop with good battery life? Not if you’re getting an Ultrabook™.

Ultrabooks are a new class of ultraportable laptops that measure less than 21mm thick, get five or more hours of battery life, use a powerful Intel® Core i3™, i5 or i7 processor and wake almost instantly from a sleep state. All for around $1,000.

Ultrabooks are the perfect laptop for people on the go, easily slipping into a bag or briefcase and barely noticeable from a weight perspective - you’ll find yourself bringing your laptop more places than ever before. With their ultra-slim profile, they’re also a dramatic style statement.

The 13" Lenovo® IdeaPad® U300s is a perfect example of everything an Ultrabook has to offer:

  • 1.6GHz Intel Core i5 processor
  • 128 GB solid state drive (much faster than a hard drive)
  • Just 0.59" thick and 2.91 pounds
  • 8 hours of battery life.

We're giving away a Lenovo U300s ($1049 MSRP) to one lucky Techlicious subscriber, courtesy of Intel! Enter through February 24th, 2012 for a chance to win.

so that between ballgames and practices for my son, volunteering at school and at church, and running home and heart for us, my part-time, paying gig can be ULTRA productive! Thank you for choosing my entry!

I want something I can

From Jacob LaFountaine on January 24, 2012 :: 1:42 pm

I want something I can take with me. My last portable was an old Dell Latitude notebook that had a wonky screen

From Nila Syze on January 24, 2012 :: 1:42 pm

I know that Lenvo makes a high quality product.  If I were to win this contest I would give the prize to my grandson to assist him with his school needs.

For School!

From Harmony Mitchem on January 24, 2012 :: 1:46 pm

I would love to have my first laptop and know Lenovo is a good one! We lost our computers and even our Internet service’ satellite dish during the 4-27-11 tornado. I just started college and could use a laptop for school. My mom, a single mom, is not working right now and my text books are very expensive. I would use the laptop to download my text books, research, and write school papers.

Pick Me

From Maria on January 24, 2012 :: 1:48 pm

I would love a new laptop.  I travel away from home each week for my job.  Lugging around an old 8 pound laptop from flight to flight is painful, to say the least.  A new lightweight and fast laptop would be very much appreciated!

Why it's time for new Lenovo

From Judith Stewart on January 24, 2012 :: 1:50 pm

My lenovo 550G is getting old and gets a LOT of use.  There are 5 of us using it, and the 6th grader needs it more and more for school work.  I am 72 years old, and spend a lot of time on it during the day while others are gone.

My computer is broken and

From Teatown on January 24, 2012 :: 1:50 pm

My computer is broken and I cannot afford a new one.  This is going to be the start of a new lucky spell, I can feel it smile

For Me and only Me

From Rolando Campos on January 24, 2012 :: 1:51 pm

I would love a Lenovo U300s.Since it’s only less than 21mm thick it will fit comfortably in my backpack making it a truly portable device. That portability goes an even longer way due to the 8 hours of battery life. The possibilities of what i would be able to do with this piece of modern technology is limitless. Heck yeah I want one.

From Ginger on January 24, 2012 :: 1:52 pm

I need this because mine is as heavy as a brick to carry around!

I would love to win

From Linda on January 24, 2012 :: 1:54 pm

Why I Need a New Intel-Powered Ultrabook

From Sheila Weaver on January 24, 2012 :: 1:54 pm

I have been unemployed for 16 months.  The days of visiting a company and filling out a paper application are a thing of the past.  Everything is done online.  My computer is in such bad shape that it does not want to boot up.  I sometimes need to turn it off at the power bar and attempt to boot up three or four times.  With no job, I can’t afford a new one.

laptop is a luxury

From Shawna on January 24, 2012 :: 1:56 pm

I’ve always wanted to purchase one, but as soon as I’m a little money ahead something hits. Kid’s teeth need work, car breaks down, business slows and job is on the line, whatever. If I had any computer my daughter could do homework at home much faster than handwriting her papers and such.

From Tracey on January 24, 2012 :: 1:56 pm

Why do I need a new Intel-powered Ultrabook?

I’m reinventing myself at midlife, when technical writing seems mostly dead. I’ve relied on a desktop computer forever, but now I really need portability.  New laptops are so much nicer than they used to be.

Thanks for the opportunity.

I hope to win, please!

From Lissa R on January 24, 2012 :: 1:57 pm

I got rid of my old laptop several weeks ago.  It barely worked with the fan no longer working and the video card going bad.  I loved it and I hate that I had to finally replace it.  I bought a nice PC but I miss the mobility of a laptop.  I would love to be able to work on writing my book while out at the park or in the food court of the mall.

From Lucy Sinker on January 24, 2012 :: 1:57 pm

Could use a laptop

From Gary Martens on January 24, 2012 :: 1:57 pm

What's need got to do with it?

From Fogcity on January 24, 2012 :: 1:57 pm

I want it because it looks like a great option to replace my five pounder…

From Kathy on January 24, 2012 :: 1:58 pm

This Lenovo Ultrabook would be so much help to me, as my job requires me to travel quite often. To own such a light weight, state-of-the-art piece of equipment would make it easier to stay on top of things, move more quickly, and keep it all together!

From Julie Garland on January 24, 2012 :: 2:15 pm

I REALLY need a new laptop. I’m constantly having to wait for MY laptop, which, coincidently, is a LENOVO.  I have to share one laptop with my husband, who is a gamer; my 20 year old niece, who is a Facebook fiend, and my 12 year old step son, who is “doing homework”. Please consider my entry - to save my patience and my family from my wrath of internet abstinence.
