Lenovo Ultrabook Giveaway from Intel!

in Computers and Software, Giveaways, Computers & Accessories, Travel & Entertainment, Blog :: 1270 comments

Lenovo U300s UltrabookThink you have to pay a hefty premium to get a thin and powerful laptop with good battery life? Not if you’re getting an Ultrabook™.

Ultrabooks are a new class of ultraportable laptops that measure less than 21mm thick, get five or more hours of battery life, use a powerful Intel® Core i3™, i5 or i7 processor and wake almost instantly from a sleep state. All for around $1,000.

Ultrabooks are the perfect laptop for people on the go, easily slipping into a bag or briefcase and barely noticeable from a weight perspective - you’ll find yourself bringing your laptop more places than ever before. With their ultra-slim profile, they’re also a dramatic style statement.

The 13" Lenovo® IdeaPad® U300s is a perfect example of everything an Ultrabook has to offer:

  • 1.6GHz Intel Core i5 processor
  • 128 GB solid state drive (much faster than a hard drive)
  • Just 0.59" thick and 2.91 pounds
  • 8 hours of battery life.

We're giving away a Lenovo U300s ($1049 MSRP) to one lucky Techlicious subscriber, courtesy of Intel! Enter through February 24th, 2012 for a chance to win.

Ultrabook

From mrcapncaveman on January 24, 2012 :: 1:28 pm

Honestly, I don’t even own a laptop. Until recently laptops never had the power or speed to do graphics work. I have been chained to a desktop for years. I would love to get my hands on a machine such as the Lenova IdeaPad U300s Ultrabook, especially with the Core i5 processor. I certainly don’t have $1049 to shell out for such a fine rig. So here it is my one chance to obtain one. Thanks are in order to Intel and of course Techlicious for such a fine giveaway.

We have one desktop for my kids to watch videos, my 3rd grader to play games and do homework, my husband to do work on and me to pay bills on and surf.  I think we need a second computer, especially a laptop that can be put away from the kids to make sure they dont accidentally erase something important.

From Tim Hughes on January 24, 2012 :: 1:36 pm

My pc Sucks! I am out of work battling health issues but every day, I put on a smile, take care of all the household stuff, make sure that when my wife gets home from work that she can relax and unwind with our kids and have no worries. In my free time, I surf the net for giveaway’s and contest’s, because our pc is so damn slow, I sometimes will just be sitting there waiting for pages to open. This thing is beyond slow and it frustrates me to no end. I need a new pc just to remain sane.

My laptop died over a year ago now.  Was diagnosed with cancer about the same time so along with the emotional roller coaster came financial nightmares.  Never could afford to get another one.  I am self- employed and although I can’t say I’m in remission yet have, indeed, started working part-time again.  Need a laptop for business trips, work etc so will cross my digits fiercely.

My mom was getting ready to start writing a big project that she has been planning on for a while and the hard drive of her poor, old Toshiba laptop stopped working over the summer. And this was her only computer! She could really, really use a new and light laptop computer to work on and a great processor would be very useful for all of the imagery she plans to use! The computer would go to good use!

Borrowing an older laptop for my son in first year of college.

From Sandra Brower on January 24, 2012 :: 2:01 pm

My son is great and he managed to get a scholarship to a good college, but I didn’t have any money to help him with the things he really needed. He is borrowing a laptop from a friend right now but he really needs a good laptop for the advanced studies he is taking and to be able to handle the music he writes and records. I wish I could give him the world but I just don’t have much to give except my love and an entry into a contest or contests to try to win the things he needs like school supplies, clothes and an occasional meal at McDonalds, which he loves. But, maybe a good laptop would make it easier for him and I would love to do that for him.

My 10 year old tower computer just went down, because of a BAD Motherboard, and is currently being worked on to retrieve ALL my stuff from the hard drive, so I have to borrow my brother’s laptop to get my emails and updates until I can buy a new one or win a new one.
