Lenovo Ultrabook Giveaway from Intel!

in Computers and Software, Giveaways, Computers & Accessories, Travel & Entertainment, Blog :: 1270 comments

Lenovo U300s UltrabookThink you have to pay a hefty premium to get a thin and powerful laptop with good battery life? Not if you’re getting an Ultrabook™.

Ultrabooks are a new class of ultraportable laptops that measure less than 21mm thick, get five or more hours of battery life, use a powerful Intel® Core i3™, i5 or i7 processor and wake almost instantly from a sleep state. All for around $1,000.

Ultrabooks are the perfect laptop for people on the go, easily slipping into a bag or briefcase and barely noticeable from a weight perspective - you’ll find yourself bringing your laptop more places than ever before. With their ultra-slim profile, they’re also a dramatic style statement.

The 13" Lenovo® IdeaPad® U300s is a perfect example of everything an Ultrabook has to offer:

  • 1.6GHz Intel Core i5 processor
  • 128 GB solid state drive (much faster than a hard drive)
  • Just 0.59" thick and 2.91 pounds
  • 8 hours of battery life.

We're giving away a Lenovo U300s ($1049 MSRP) to one lucky Techlicious subscriber, courtesy of Intel! Enter through February 24th, 2012 for a chance to win.

Gave my iPad to my husband :-/

From Kay Desjardins on January 30, 2012 :: 10:27 pm

My husband was always wanting to do something on my iPAD regarding his music so I just gave it to him. Now I wish I could win this new Lenovo. I have fused discs in my neck and back and sitting at my desk is total torture. I am retired. And it would just be a blessing.

What I wouldn't do

From Frances on January 31, 2012 :: 11:26 am

I would love to get a new laptop. I was laid off three years ago and used some of my severance to buy a laptop then, but I have had nothing but trouble with it. I had to totally erase the hard drive just before Christmas last year, right after the last quarter of school. And now it constantly freezes up while I am doing schoolwork and I am constantly having to restart it. It’s so frustrating!!!

The Lenovo Ultrabook is ultralight and ultrafast. I’ve been limping along with a couple different old (ancient in PC or Internet years) laptops since I’ve been on sabbatical.  I would very much love to have a modern laptop, especially one as svelte and sexy at the Ultrabook.

Why I need a new Intel-powered Ultrabook:

From Kami on February 06, 2012 :: 3:21 am

Why I need a new Intel-powered Ultrabook:
My daughter has Dysgraphia is a neuromotor impairment and Disorder of written expression.  A laptop is her paper and pencil.  There is no financial help to keep children with these disorders in the assistive technology that keeps the playing field level for them with amon thier handwriting peers.  My daughter’s laptop constantly overheats and is ready to crash… we cannot afford to get her the kind of computer she needs and it is her paper and pencil everyday at school. A child could be greatly helped!
