Lenovo Ultrabook Giveaway from Intel!

in Computers and Software, Giveaways, Computers & Accessories, Travel & Entertainment, Blog :: 1270 comments

Lenovo U300s UltrabookThink you have to pay a hefty premium to get a thin and powerful laptop with good battery life? Not if you’re getting an Ultrabook™.

Ultrabooks are a new class of ultraportable laptops that measure less than 21mm thick, get five or more hours of battery life, use a powerful Intel® Core i3™, i5 or i7 processor and wake almost instantly from a sleep state. All for around $1,000.

Ultrabooks are the perfect laptop for people on the go, easily slipping into a bag or briefcase and barely noticeable from a weight perspective - you’ll find yourself bringing your laptop more places than ever before. With their ultra-slim profile, they’re also a dramatic style statement.

The 13" Lenovo® IdeaPad® U300s is a perfect example of everything an Ultrabook has to offer:

  • 1.6GHz Intel Core i5 processor
  • 128 GB solid state drive (much faster than a hard drive)
  • Just 0.59" thick and 2.91 pounds
  • 8 hours of battery life.

We're giving away a Lenovo U300s ($1049 MSRP) to one lucky Techlicious subscriber, courtesy of Intel! Enter through February 24th, 2012 for a chance to win.

I’ve had three Lenovo laptops, and have to say they’ve been great; way better than others I’ve had.  Now we have a son ready to head off to college, so it’s time for a new laptop; this sure would help!

Lenovo Giveaway

From CHRISTINE SANSOUCI on January 24, 2012 :: 10:57 am

I am unemployed and looking for work with a desktop computer that we purchased in 1998.  As you can imagine it is really s-l-o-w and makes it more difficult to search employment websites.  A new laptop would really help in my search for a new job.

Why I need this laptop...

From Nadine R. on January 24, 2012 :: 11:00 am

I need to win this laptop because my current Lenovo S10 is much too slow and small for anything. In fact, I haven’t used it in forever because I want to drop kick it out the window everytime I do.

So I need a laptop I don’t want to drop kick out of any windows. :D

I would love to up my business this year

From Courtney on January 24, 2012 :: 11:02 am

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win a brand new Lenovo Ultrabook!!! It would really help me out this year for my business. I was recently laid off from my FT. While working I had my business as well. I had been using a lab top I have had since I was in college in 2006. It is really slow, not up dated and gives me so much trouble. I waist a ton of hours each week fighting with my computer. I use my lab top about 60-70 hrs per week. Now that I am just running the business it would be such a help to have new working computer. When I am meeting with clients it would be supper cool to have a nice Lenovo Ultrabook. I am sure my clients would think it was much cooler than me 6 year old slow computer. I would be very grateful to win a brand new Lenovo Ultrabook!!! It would really help me and my business out tremendously! Thank you!

My husband

My husband owns his own consulting business so his laptop is vital to our household income.  His current laptop has been slowly failing so we need to get him a new one.  The ultra-slim profile and lightweight of the Lenovo would be perfect since he travels every week to client locations.  We would really appreciate it if we were picked.

High school and a very old computer

From Cecilia Davis on January 24, 2012 :: 11:10 am

My youngest child started high school this year and is taking engineering for the next four years.Our computer is not good enough to run the program (autodesk inventor)that she uses,and due to my husband only just getting back to work after almost two years we are not going to be able to replace it anytime soon.For what I currently use my computer for it’s fine,but this ultra book would certainly make life and homework a lot easier and convenient for her.Already a happy subscriber. smile

No more homework headaches

From John O'Connell on January 24, 2012 :: 11:13 am

We have a newer Mac desktop at home and a six-year-old Windows XP laptop that’s seen better days. My kids (ages 10 and 12) are always trying to angle for computer time to get their homework done. (School seems to move more and more stuff online. They’re even using Google Docs to do joint projects and submit work.)

A new laptop would really help everyone do what they need to, when they need to.

I need a new Ultrabook because I have not been able to afford a laptop for my son, who is in college.  He always uses my laptop when he is home, I have had to have my laptop repaired twice since Sept ‘11 after he has used it.  If I had a new laptop he could have my old one and never need to touch my laptop again.  Oh dare to dream!
