There's plenty of age appropriate Halloween games for kids this year. From puzzles to running your own "5-Stake Resort", we offer up suggestions of spooky and fun seasonal apps to check out.

Hotel Transylvania Dash

In the spirit (pun intended) of games like Diner Dash, comes Hotel Transylvania Dash, a game based on the movie by Sony Pictures Animation which puts you in charge of running a “5-Stake Resort.” You play Dracula in this fast paced game that brings together characters from the movie, including your daughter Mavis who helps you spruce up VIP suites with decorations that you can buy by earning “blood bills.” There’s both a free version and a paid version for $2.99 for the iOS, but note there’s two new levels in ancient Egypt and Hawee-wee (if you’ve seen the movie you’ll understand the reference), and each level will cost you an additional $0.99 to download.

LEGO Halloween Creationary LEGO Halloween Creationary

This fun twist on LEGO Creationary has you quickly guessing what’s being built before the Halloween-themed LEGO item is completed. Roll the dice on the screen by dragging it and tapping it with your finger to see which of six categories the next build will come from: Creatures, Places, Things, Costumes or two Random categories that can score you extra points. It’s not as hard as it sounds as you’re given four possible answers to choose from, and this game is addicting for competitive parents (er…kids!). LEGO Halloween Creationary is FREE for the iOS. Good for kids age 6+

Connect ’Em Halloween Edition

For the puzzle and challenge seekers, Connect ’em Halloween Edition is addictive and similar to Where’s My Water or Amazing Alex as the object is to complete the connections between pumpkins before moving on to the next level. This is an addictive and challenging brain workout. Great for kids 6+ this app is available on Google Play.

Mask Jumble Halloween

This fun app uses augmented reality and face recognition to virtually overlay a Halloween mask right on top of a photo of your child’s face. They can touch their face to change parts of the mask, and then play games like catching snacks in your mouth to earn prizes. There’s over ten Halloween-themed masks, and forty additional pieces to add. Mask Jumble is available for iOS devices with a front facing camera for $0.99.

Kids Shape Puzzle HalloweenKids Shape Puzzle Halloween

Exclusively for the Android, this fun app put kids in the Halloween mood by allowing them to assemble over 30 Halloween puzzles right on your device. Kid-friendly images of witches, ghosts and loveable monsters are revealed when your child snaps the handful of correct shaped pieces into place. Kids Shape Puzzle is available on Google Play for $1.95 and is appropriate for kids between 3-5 years old.

I am not a programmer but can create web applications in minutes using Snappii web service. Such apps are easy to update and besides I don’t have to join Apple or Google Developer Programs (that saves me money) and this way I avoid app review process which saves my time. I advice all to try it.
