The LG C5 65-inch OLED TV is $1,299.99 at Amazon today, down from its $2,699.99 launch price. That's a record low for this model and about $400 under what it's been selling for at most retailers in recent months.
The C5 is LG's current flagship consumer OLED, released in early 2025. The picture quality is the main draw: 8.3 million self-lit pixels deliver the perfect black and color accuracy that OLED does better than any other display technology. LG's Alpha 9 AI Processor Gen8 handles upscaling and picture optimization, and a new anti-glare screen coating reduces reflections significantly compared to the C4.
For gamers, the specs are hard to beat at this price: four HDMI 2.1 ports, a 0.1ms response time, native 120Hz refresh rate, and VRR up to 144Hz for PC gaming. Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos are both on board, and LG's webOS 25 platform gives you access to all the major streaming apps, plus Alexa voice control built in.
A few things to know before buying: The C6 (2026 model) is now available, so if you want the absolute latest, that's an option. However, the performance gap is minimal for most people, and the price difference is substantial: the 65-inch C6 retails for $2,699.99 (on sale for $1,999.99). The C5 also doesn't support HDR10+, which matters if you stream a lot of Amazon Prime Video content that uses that format (Dolby Vision covers most of what you'll watch on Netflix, Disney+, and Apple TV+). Audio is the one area where the C5 underperforms; it's serviceable but not impressive, so budget for a soundbar if sound quality matters to you.
You'll need to act soon because the sale ends tonight at midnight. Prime Day is next month, but TVs like this rarely drop significantly in price between major sale events. If you've been waiting for a good entry point on a premium OLED, this is it.
