Gourmia is recalling nearly 176,000 9-slice digital air fryer ovens sold at Target because the glass doors can close unexpectedly when bumped, burning people as they reach in for hot food. The company has received 57 reports of the doors closing unexpectedly while people were retrieving food, resulting in 40 reported burns to hands or wrists, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The ovens, model number GTF7530, were sold at Target stores nationwide and on Target.com for nearly five years, from October 2021 through June 2026. They have a stainless steel finish with two spring-loaded glass French doors.

If you bought a Gourmia air fryer oven at Target during that stretch, check the model before you cook with it again. You can find it on a label on the back of the oven, along with a date code ranging from 3021 to 0126.

If you have one, stop using it and contact Gourmia for a free repair kit, which includes a magnetic doorstop and installation instructions. A receipt is not required, and you don't need to return the oven. Gourmia says the kit should arrive within two to four weeks of submitting your request. Don't use the oven again until you've installed the doorstop.
