Apple opened the claims process today for the $250 million settlement over its delayed Siri AI features, and eligible iPhone owners now have a website where they can file for a payment of up to $95.
The lawsuit accused Apple of advertising personalized Siri features that could understand what's on your screen and carry out tasks across apps when it unveiled Apple Intelligence in June 2024. Those features didn't ship until this past June, two years later. Apple denied wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement rather than fight the case in court.
You're eligible if you bought an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 model in the US between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. Each eligible device qualifies for its own claim, so a household with two qualifying phones can file twice.
The base payment is $25 per device, though the settlement site says that figure can rise to as much as $95, or drop lower, depending on how many people file valid claims. Filing takes an eligible device's serial number, or an Apple Account email and phone number if the serial number isn't handy. Claims are due by December 21, 2026. A final approval hearing is scheduled for February 24, 2027, and payments won't go out until after that hearing.
