The rumors are heating up about tomorrow's iPhone announcements. And the smart money says we will likely see Apple launch its first foldable phone, unofficially dubbed the iPhone Ultra. Based on a case we discovered at IFA 2026 in Berlin, our money is on a foldable as well.
An exhibiting case maker showed the case off to my colleague, claiming it was for the upcoming "iFold". It clearly is configured to hold a foldable device, with a large inner display and a full-sized outer display. There is an oval cutout for the camera. She didn't allow him to take measurements, but said it was roughly the size of Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold8.

Interestingly, the case does not have a visible MagSafe mount. We can only speculate whether this is only a case design decision or whether the Ultra won't have MagSafe capabilities, but we strongly suspect the former.
It's not unusual to see device details leaking through case manufacturers. They typically need months to tool up their factories, using specs provided by Apple and other device makers.
Apple doesn't comment on unreleased products, and nothing here is confirmed. Until then, cases like the one we found in Berlin are about as close a look as anyone outside Apple's supply chain is going to get.
