Motionbox Acquired by Snapfish - Video Service to be Shut Down

by Josh Kirschner on July 13, 2010

We've written about Motionbox.com's video sharing service in the past and were big fans. Unfortunately, Motionbox was just purchased by Snapfish (owned by HP) and the service will be shutting down effective August 10, 2010.

Existing users of Motionbox will be able to log in to their Motionbox account and download videos you wish to save onto your computer. After August 10, 2010, you will not be able to download your videos from Motionbox—so don't put it off.

Motionbox users should receive an offer for a 30 day free trial to the Snapfish Home Video service. But, unlike Motionbox, there is no free offering; a one year subscription costs $24.99.
