Our Favorite Movies Disappearing from Netflix in 2014

by Fox Van Allen on December 30, 2013

If you would like to watch a Steel Town girl on a
Saturday night looking for the fight of her life,
this may be your last chance to do so on Netflix.

If you’re a Netflix fanatic, be warned: The online movie service will be losing the rights to stream a number of classic films effective January 1, 2014.

As you might expect, a number of the movies Netflix is losing the rights to aren’t worth watching, unless you have unusually fond memories of Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot. That said, there are a number of legit classics that you’ll no longer be able to stream in the new year. This is your last chance to catch Being John Malkovich, Braveheart, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Flashdance, Roman Holiday, Platoon, Titanic, and Top Gun on the service. Netflix is also losing the rights to stream the 1951 Disney film Alice in Wonderland, though that movie will continue to be available until January 4.

A small handful of TV shows will be disappearing as well, including the hilarious Canadian sketch comedy show Kids in the Hall and Mr. Bean. Netflix will be losing the rights to Saturday Night Live The 2000s, though you can now view the full SNL back catalogue for free at Yahoo.
